NDW2 Series Air Circuit Breaker
Updated:August 12,2022 14:44PM

Nader NDW2 series ACB is applicable to the distribution network with AC 50Hz / 60Hz, rated current of 200A ~ 6300A, rated insulation voltage of 1250v and rated AC working voltage of 220V to 1140V. It is used to distribute electric energy and protect lines and power equipment from overload, undervoltage, short circuit, single-phase grounding and other faults. It can also be used as an isolating switch. The circuit breaker has a variety of protection functions, which can not only achieve high-precision selective protection, but also avoid unnecessary sudden power failure, and improve the reliability and safety of the power supply system.

FAQs

Questions & Answers for NDW2 Series

  • What is the use of air circuit breaker?
Air Circuit Breaker (ACB) is electronic equipment that is used for the protection of electric circuits from short circuits or overcurrent. The ACB operates at atmospheric pressure in air. ACB is used in the switching mechanism and protection of the electrical system.
  • Why is it called an air circuit breaker?
It is a circuit breaker with compressed air as arc quenching medium to exterminate the arc produced when the contacts are separated. So this is called Air Circuit Breaker.
  • What is difference between VCB and ACB?
The key difference between an air circuit breaker and a vacuum circuit breaker is current rating. With current rating from 1001 A to 10000 A, ACB (Air circuit breaker) is often used in Main Electrical Panels as well as for large industrial plant, where the breakers are arranged in drawn-out enclosures for ease of maintenance. The current rating of VCB (Vacuum circuit breaker) is up to 3000 Amperes and can be applied at up to 35 thousand volts.Contact C&S Electric for more information on air blast circuit breaker.
  • How many types of air circuit breakers are there?
There are mainly two types of ACB are available. Plain air circuit breaker. Air blast Circuit Breaker.
  • What is difference between ACB and MCCB?
An ACB is physically larger, but more cost-effective for higher ratings. current waveform (within five milliseconds in a 50 Hz system). The fault current flowing through the MCCB never reaches its peak, and the fault energy allowed downstream is limited.
  • How do you maintain a circuit breaker?
Molded case Circuit Breakers should be exercised at least once per year. Routine trip testing should be performed every 3 to 5 years. Low-voltage Circuit Breakers should be inspected and maintained every 1 to 3 years, depending on their service and operating conditions.
